Member of Hutterite Colony Dies in Crash

Altona, Man. — A highway accident near Jordan Corner recently claimed the life of Paul D. Waldner, 54, a member of the Blumengart Hutterite Colony south of Plum Coulee, Man.

Waldner was driving a panel truck, with eight other colony residents as passengers in the rear of the truck, when there was a tire blowout. The truck crashed into the ditch.

The driver died a short time later in the Carman hospital, while the eight passengers escaped serious injury.
