KATHERINE (TENA) WALDE

Tena Walde died peacefully May 12 after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 17, 1918 in Siberia. Her faith and family were most important to her. Tena was organized, independent and had a quiet calming spirit. Tena was a beautiful seamstress and taught sewing classes in Chilliwack, B.C. She enjoyed travelling, cooking, and baking. Her grandchildren will miss her cookies. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Peter; 1 brother; 1 great-granddaughter; she is mourned by daughter Doris (Walt) Wiebe; son Rudy (De Vee); 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters. The memorial service was May 24 at Broadway Church, Chilliwack.
