MRS. ELLA WAGNER

Thirzy Ella (Ball) Wagner, daughter of Edward and Deniza (Antill) Ball, was born in Harrisonville, Mo. on Nov. 18, 1877. She died on March 6, 1962, at the Newman Memorial Hospital, Shattuck, Okla., after a prolonged illness. She reached the age of 84 years, three months, and 16 days.

On May 13, 1894, she was married to Jacob Andrew Wagner at Porter, Ark. They moved to Texas in 1911. For a period of time they also lived in Oklahoma.

At an early age she received Christ as her personal Saviour, was baptized upon the confession of her faith and united with the Christian Church. Later she united with the Perryton, Texas Mennonite Church, of which she remained a faithful member until her death. Her witness for Christ was given in a quiet, undramatic, but positive manner. The Women's Missionary and Service organization will miss Sister Wagner in a special way because she so faithfully attended the meetings and helped with many projects at home, as well. Quilting, crocheting, and embroidering were her special hobbies.

Jacob and Ella Wagner were the parents of nine children. Surviving are Allen of LaVeta, Colo.; Mart of Perryton; Mary (Mrs. W. C. Dixon) of LaVeta; Herman of Perryton; and Leata (Mrs. Lee Edge) of Spearman, Colo. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Wakefield of Hendrix,Okla. and Mrs. Dora Ballew of Inglewood, Calif., 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Jacob, who died in 1949, two sons, Louis and Delbert, and two daughters, Esther and Eva.

Funeral services were conducted on march 9 at the First Methodist Church of Perryton. Officiating ministers were Rev. E. E. Showalter of LaJunta, Colo., Rev. Wallace Jantz and Rev. Duane Bruce of Perryton, Texas. Interment wah [sic] made in Kirby Cemetery, Beaver County, Okla.
