Ontario Boy, 15 Fatally Injured

Shakespear [sic Shakespeare], Ont. — Roger Wagler, 15-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Wagler of rural Shakespeare, died from injuries received in a car-truck accident shortly before midnight March 18.

The youth was a passenger in a car driven by his sister Carolyn, 17, when it was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Highway 7 near here. The truck loaded with 23 tons of fertilizer hit the car on the passengers side, and both car and truck ended up in the ditch, the truck on its side.

The youth is survived by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

The funeral services was conducted at Steinman Mennonite Church, Baden, by Rev. Albert Zehr.
