In 1970 they moved to Clearbrook. Anna became ill and he cared for her until her death Mar. 10, 1982. A year later he married Erika Fast. He is remembered as a man of courage, determination and perseverance who showed a keen interest in helping others. Predeceased by his wife Anna, he is mourned by his wife Erika; daughters Kati, Anni, Gertrud and Linda; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one sister. The funeral was Aug. 14 in Clearbrook MB Church, with J.E. Klassen and Jacob Pauls ministering.
