• Word was received here Wednesday noon that Mrs. J. R. Voth, 87, of Goessel had died at the Bethesda Hospital there. She entered the hospital on Tuesday. She was the mother of H. J. Voth of Newton and Margaret Voth, with whom she made her home, and a sister to G. G Pankratz of Newton.

• A large number of relatives and friends attended funeral services at the Alexanderwohl Church on Saturday afternoon for Mrs. J. R. Voth, 87, who died at the Bethesda hospital in Goessel on Sept. 12 after a brief illness. Rev. Aaron Epp, the pastor, officiated. Mrs. Voth, the former Elizabeth Pankratz, was a lifetime resident of the Goessel community. She leaves two daughters, four sons, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three brothers. Her children at a distance, Mrs. Bertha Voth and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Voth of Aberdeen, Idaho, came for the funeral.

Mrs. J. R. Voth, nee Elisabeth Pankratz, daughter of Peter Pankratz and Elisabeth Goerz, was born Feb. 18, 1875, in Marion County, Kan. She attended the elementary school at Springfield.

Elizabeth Pankratz Voth, Alexanderwohl Church, Goessel, Kan., was born Feb. 18, 1875, and died Sept. 12. Six children survive.
