PETER VOTH

Peter Voth was born February 15, 1891 in Cottonwood County near Mountain Lake, Minn. Nine years later he moved to Waldheim, Sask., with his parents. It was here that he spent his youth and got his education.

As a young man he homesteaded at Great Deer, Sask., and it was here that he was married to Tina DeVeer in 1916. Two years later they moved to Hepburn where they farmed until 1946. At that time they moved to British Columbia where they lived at several places, most recently at North Surrey.

He became ill first in 1963 but recovered again. When his health began to fail again he was admitted to the North Surrey Memorial Hospital. God was gracious to him giving him time to be saved while he was ill. This was a great battle for him but he made his peace with God and befere his death confirmed to a number of different individuals that he was ready to meet God. This brought his family and the church great joy.

On October 14 he died at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife: one son Elmer; three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Linda) Thiessen, Mrs. Frank (Clara) Strausz and Mrs. Phil (Francis) Zerr.
