South America M. B. Church Leader Dies
REV. KORNELIUS VOTH WAS MODERATOR, LEADING MINISTER AT FRIESLAND
Friesland, Paraguay — Rev. Kornelius Voth, moderator of the South American Mennonite Brethren Conference, died suddenly of a heart ailment on Nov. 22.
Rev. Voth is remembered in North America by his visit in 1948. He attended the Mennonite World Conference and the Mennonite Brethren General Conference when the South American Mennonite Brethren Church were accepted as a district conference.
As spiritual leader and pioneer, he contributed much to the establishment of colony and church in South America. He was the leading minister of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Friesland Colony and a teacher in the Friesland Bible School.
Rev. Voth is thought to have been in the 60's. Mrs. Voth and several daughters survive.
