ANNIE VOTH

The daughter of Henry and Ida Unruh, Annie Voth was born in Harvey, N.D. on January 22, 1899. Together with her family she moved to the Hepburn, Sask. district in 1905. She turned to the Lord for salvation in her youth and was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren church.

Able to read and write in two languages, Mrs. Voth's special love was to read her Bible. She made doll clothes for hundreds of children and contributed much of her craftwork to MCC.

She married Jacob A. Voth on March 26, 1918, a union blessed with seven children. She had a special concern for the spiritual welfare of her family. Although she frequently experienced illness, her faith in Christ never wavered. In spite of declining health, the Voths were able to celebrate their golden anniversary in 1968 with all children and grandchildren present. The Voths remained on their farm until ten years ago, when they moved into Hepburn.

The Lord took her home quietly on October 29. She leaves to mourn her husband, Jacob; three daughters, (Mrs.) Elsie Wood, (Mrs.) Elma Peters, and (Mrs.) Irene Kliewer; two sons, Allan and Dave; 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister; two brothers; one step-sister and one step-brother.
