FANNIE VOEGTLIN

Fannie Voegtlin, daughter of Joseph R. and Mattie (Bender) Stauffer, was born Jan. 1, 1888 at Milford, Nebraska, passed away, at the Tofield Municipal hospital from the effects of cancer, June 30, 1952, at the age of 64 years and six months.

In the spring of 1913, she, with her parents moved to Tofield, Alberta, where she resided until the time of her death. On March 24, 1915, she was united in marriage to Joseph Voegtlin.

She is survived by her husband; two sons and two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Fred Martin) of Duchess Alberta, Paul, Ruth and Joseph of Tofield; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Lena (Mrs. Pete Roil), Pheobe (Mrs. Ben Lauber), Lucinda (Mrs. Dave Yoder), all of Tofield. Barbara (Mrs. Jacob Brenneman) of Hesston, Kansas, and one brother, Ezra Stauffer, of Tofield. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mrs. Lydia Roth, one brother, Joe Stauffer, both of Tofield, also one brother and sister in infancy.

At the age of 14 she united with the Mennonite church of which she was a faithful and active member until the time of her death. She was a devoted wife and mother, concerned for the spiritual welfare of her family.

Funeral services were held at the Salem Mennonite church July 4, in charge of C. J. Ramer, J. B. Stauffer, and M. D. Stutzman. Text, Prov. 31:10-31, II Tim. 4:7, 8. Interment in adjoining cemetery,
