— The death of Rev. Henry Van der Smissen, pastor of the Hamburg-Altona Mennonite church, Germany, last month, whose conspicuous service both in the pastorate and as editor of the Mennonitische Blaetter made him one of the outstanding Mennonite ministers in Europe brings a feeling of sadness to the many friends he made in Mennonite communities everywhere. While visiting America twenty-one years ago many of our people had the privilege of meeting him. — Mennonite.
