DRIVER OF SEED CORN TRUCK KILLED IN R.R. CROSSING ACCIDENT
Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were held at the Linn Township Mennonite church on March 13 for Peter E. Unzicker, 64, of Washburn, who was fatally injured at a railroad crossing accident at Hammond, Ind. on March 10.
Mr. Unzicker, retired farmer employed as a salesman by the Moews Seed Corn company, was delivering a truckload of corn at the time of the fatal accident. He died at a Hammond hospital four hours after a New York Central train crashed into his truck.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Studer of Roanoke; a son Earl of Washburn; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
