• Henry F. Unruh, 79, well-known retired service station and elevator operator here, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at the home on North Main Street. The largely attended funeral was held Monday forenoon at the Bethel College Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Russell L Mast officiated. Mr. Unruh had lived in Newton for the past 60 years. Besides his widow, the former Susie Hiebert, he leaves five daughters, Mrs. C. B. Willard and Miss Viola of Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Geo. Pack of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Lee S. Fent and Mrs. Marvin Geortzen of Newton; a son, State Rep. Ernest A. Unruh of Newton, 12 grandchildren and three sisters.
