MRS. ELIZABETH UNRUH

Mrs. Elizabeth Unruh, daughter of Benjamin and Helena (Koehn) Jantz, was born Nov. 11, 1889 near Moundridge, Kan.

The Lord called mother home to glory on Aug. 22, 1967 in the Enid, Okla. Hospital at the age of 77 years, nine months and 11 days.

In her early youth she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. She was baptized June 3, 1906 and remained a member of the New Hopedale Mennonite Church until her death. Most of her life was spent in the Menno community except for five years in California.

On Feb. 19, 1908, she was married to Peter B. Unruh, with whom she shared joys and sorrows for 52 years, when father was taken to be with the Lord. On Aug. 4, 1967 she was taken to the hospital where the Lord saw fit to take her home.

She was a loving mother, and always greatly concerned about others.

Preceding her in death were her husband, two sons, Ervin in infancy, and Melvin in 1959, two sisters and five brothers.

She leaves to mourn six children: Harold of Enid, Virgie (Mrs. Gus Koehn), Newton, Kan.; Dorothy (Mrs. Julius Koehn), Oklahoma City; Elvera (Mrs. Harold Jantz), Tampa, Kan.; Delores (Mrs. Ralph Stevens), Meno, Okla.; Florence (Mrs. Wenley Bergman) Newton. Also surviving are five sons-in-law and two daughters-in-law; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Andrew B. Jantz, Newton, and one sister, Mrs. Katie Schultz, Billings, Okla.
