Chester A. Unruh was born to Henry D. and Anna Unger Unruh at Goessel, Kan. on Sept. 10, 1914, and passed from this life on Jan. 11, 1968. He attained the age of 53 years, four months and one day.

His parents moved a number of times and he grew up in the states of Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming.

He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 16 and was baptized upon the confession of his faith. He rededicated his life to the Lord in 1950 at Reedley during the XXXX evangelistic services.

He moved to California in the spring of 1937 and on Oct. 23, 1938, he was married to Vera Friesen. The Lord blessed this union with three children. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 1963.

Four years ago he first underwent surgery and his illness was diagnosed as cancer. The next three years he had fairly good health, but since a year ago his condition had steadily declined. He spent most of the past eight months in the hospital.

He was a good husband and father, and we dearly loved him. He served his church as usher for 15 years. He was a highly optimistic person and this helped him through many trials and hardships.

He leaves to mourn his early departure his wife, Vera, of Reedley; three children, Patsy of the home, Gary and wife Marion of Fullerton, Calif., and Mary Lou and husband, John Rosenfeld, Reedley; two grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Unruh of Reedley; two brothers and two sisters, Gilbert of Reedley, Quentin of Fresno, Mrs. Leland Denney of Fresno and Mrs. Frank Rogalsky of Reedley. &#8212; The Family.

CHESTER A UNRUH

Chester A. Unruh was born to Henry D. and Anna Unger Unruh at Goessel, Kan. on Sept. 10, 1914, and passed from this life on Jan. 11, 1968. He attained the age of 53 years, four months and one day.
