MRS. IDA UNRUH

Ida (Koehn) Unruh, daughter of Cornelius and Katherine Koehn, was born on March 9, 1903, on the family farm two miles east of Goltry, Okla. Ida grew to womanhood there.

She baptized upon confession of her faith and joined the Zoar Mennonite Church of Goltry in June 1921. On Oct. 16, 1921, she was married to Irving Unruh of Goltry. The union was blessed by over 50 years of sharing life's joys and sorrows. Ida and Irving had just recently observed their golden wedding anniversary, which brought much joy to their hearts.

In August of 1925 Ida and Irving moved to the farm north of Meno, Okla. where they resided to the present time. On Jan. 1, 1945, they transferred their membership to the New Hopedale Mennonite Church of Meno where she remained a faithful member until her death. She departed from her earthly home on Dec. 24, 1971, having reached the age of 68 years, nine months, and 15 days.

Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Leland of Breckinridge, Olen of Perry, and Leroy of Ringwood; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Pekruel of Ringwood, Mrs. Anna Schmidt of Cherokee, Mrs. Lena Jantz of Meno, and Mrs. Julia Boehs of Drummond; two brothers, Isaac of Meno and Frank of Carnagie [sic Carnegie].

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Harvey, who died in infancy; one grandson, Steven Unruh; and three sisters and three brothers.
