HENRY D. UNRUH

Henry D. Unruh, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Unruh, was born in Poland march 22, 1871. At the age of four he with his parents moved to this country and settled at McPherson, Kansas.

On March 24, 1897, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Jantz. To this union were born seven sons, Harry, and Philip of Enid, Okla., Emery and Robert of Bartelsville, Okla., Aben of Wichita, Kans., Fred in service stationed at Fosterfield, Tex. and Louis at home.

In 1901 Mr. and Mrs. Unruh moved to Minco, Okla. When at Minco he accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized. Later, he and his family moved to northwest of Lahoma, Okla., where he affiliated with the Zoar Mennonite church at Goltry on Nov. 25, 1923, and remained a faithful member until death.

Last February he became ill, and it became necessary for him to have an operation. He recovered sufficiently to be up and around for some time. Later he again became ill and had to be confined to his bed for 11 weeks. He never recovered, and passed away on Dec. 18, 1944, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 27 days.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife and family; one brother Adam at M3eno, Okla.; two sisters Mrs. Fred Unruh of Meno, Okla.; and Mrs. Sam Kusch of Enid. Two sisters preceded him in death, Mrs. X. M Groskopf and Mrs. Elsie Unruh. Also four granddaughters survive.
