— Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Brandt were called to Pawnee Rock last week-end because of the sudden death of Mrs. Brandt's father, Harry Unruh, on Friday morning. Mr. Unruh had finished breakfast and was doing chores in the barn when he succumbed to a sudden heart attack. He was 60 years of age and a well known farmer in the community. Funeral services were held at the Bergthal church Monday afternoon, with Rev. John E. Kaufman in charge.

HARRY A. UNRUH

Harry, the eldest son of Peter A. R. and Sarah Unruh, was born March 16, 1890, and departed this earthly life Friday morning, Nov 24, 1950, at his farm home at the age of 60 years, eight months and eight days. He was born near Pawnee Rock, Kans. and lived in this community all his life.

In his youth he professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Saviour, was baptized and became a member of the Bergthal Mennonite church of which he was a faithful member all his life.

On April 17, 1912, he was united in marriage with Lena Schultz. They were permitted to share the joys of married life for almost 40 years. To this union were born five children, four daughters and one son.

He was a loving husband and a devoted father and always had the interest of his family at heart. He was peace-loving, sincere and of a quiet nature. He was a great lover of little children. Music was an inspiration to him and he and his family spent many happy hours singing the great hymns of the church.

He leaves to mourn his departure his devoted wife Lena, and his five children, Glenda Franklin of Lamed, Kans., Avis Brandt of North Newton, Kans., Raymond Unruh and Allene Schmidt of Great Bend, Kans., and Lorrayne of the home: three sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; five grandchildren, Jeanette and Ruth Franklin, Flauretta and Darcey Brandt and Betty Lorrayne Schmidt.

Also surviving are four sisters, R. Deckert, Myrtle Rudiger and Veda Mull of Great Bend, Kans., and Carrie Unruh of Larned: four brothers, Otis of Pawnee Rock, Arline of Great Bend, Clyde of Long Beach, Calif., and Donley of Lusk, Wyoming: and many other relatives and friends. His parents, two infant brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
