She was the daughter of Peter B. Unruh. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
Those who remain to mourn her departure are one son Milford, his wife and four children of near Durham, Kansas; six brother, Henry and Sam of Durham, Abe of Newton, Kansas, Isaac of California; Jacob and Joe of Greensburg, Kansas; six sisters, Mrs. Henry Smith, Jett, Okla., Mrs. David Schmidt of Montezuma, Kansas, Mrs. Tina Spalding of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Katie Smith, Greensburg, Kansas, Mrs. Marguerite Williamson of Herington and Mrs. Edith Eichemour of Pratt, and a host of friends.
Annie was of friendly disposition and in fairly good health until a few months ago when she complained of getting so tired. A few weeks ago she went to Halstead Hospital where she had an operation for an inward goitre and died a few days later. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Dearest Annie since you left us,
How we miss your face so dear,
Often when our hearts are bleeding
We shall call you to our side.
Yet we know you're no more with us,
And our calls are now in vain.
But we're glad we had you Annie
But when God calls we cannot stay,
Here on earth with those who love us,
'Ere our spirits have flown away.
So dear Annie as we journey
May our lives some soul inspire,
May we all be true to Jesus
Till we hear God say come on high.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Friedenstal church northwest of Tampa and she was laid to rest in the church cemetery.
Minsters conducting the funeral were Rev. Smith of the Durham Baptist church and Rev. B. H. Janzen, pastor of the First Mennonite church of Lehigh.
