On the same day a two-car collision near the Mennonite Educational Institute, Clearbrook, B. C., claimed the lives of John J. Baerg, 77, and Jacob J. Klassen, 79, both members of the Clearbrook M. B. church. Mr. Baerg was the father of Rev. H. R. Baerg, Winnipeg.

On Jan. 27 William Schwarz, 49, of Mather, Man. was killed when struck by a car while standing on the road behind his own parked vehicle.

A two-car crash near Carman, Man. on Jan. 29 brought death to Mrs. Nettie Unrau and daughters Kathy, 11, and Eva, 4, of Graysville, man. The husband and father, Bernard Unrau, is recovering while a passenger, Abe Wiebe, was critically hurt.

Seven Die in Traffic Accidents in Canada

Winnipeg, Man. — Traffic accidents in Manitoba and British Columbia claimed the lives of seven Mennonites the last week in January.

Mrs. Eva Harder, 57, of Lowe Farm, Man. was killed in a two-car crash near Sewell, Man. on Jan. 24. Her husband, Abram, was badly injured but is recovering in a Winnipeg hospital.
