HEINRICH H. UNRAU

Heinrich H. Unrau was born to Heinrich and Anna (Spenst) Unrau in the village of Liebenau of Colony Molotschna, Ukraine, July 22, 1876. On May 15, 1879, he with his parents and two brothers, Peter H. and David H. migrated to Mt. Lake, Minn.

In 1898 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. He was baptized upon confession of his faith July 3 by Elder Aron Wall and joined the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church of Mt. Lake. Father was united in Holy Matrimony to Katharina Fast by Elder Arin [sic Aron] Wall March 7, 1901. Our parents farmed seven miles west of Mt. Lake. The Lord blessed this union with eight children. = In 1913 they moved to a homestead 18 miles north of Chinook, Mont. In the fall of 19125 the family moved to a farm in the Lustre, Mont. area. Here they joined the Lustre E.M.B. Church of which he was a faithful member until he met his Lord in heaven. In the summer of 1961 while visiting in Mt. Lake he decided to have a growth removed from the right side of his face. In the beginning of 1964 the gland on the right jaw was also surgically removed.

He moved to Faith Lutheran Home Oct. 29, 1965. On Jan. 7, 1966 he entered the Trinity Hospital, and underwent surgery on the right side of his throat. After three weeks he was taken back to the Home, where he died March 6, 1966, reaching the age of 89 years, seven months and 12 days.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, three sisters, our mother, one daughter, Katherine and one grandson.

He is survived by one brother, Peter H. of the Eventide Home, Mt. Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hiebert and Mrs. Jacob A. Warkentin of Dallas, Ore.; seven children, Mrs. John D.
