Peter C. Ulrich, oldest son of John and Catherine (Rediger) Ulrich, was born in Woodford County, Illinois on Dec. 12, 1870. He died of complications in his home at Manson, Ia. on Aug. 23, 1965, at the age of 94 years, eight months and 11 days.

He was married to Magdalene Zehr on Jan. 25, 1891. She preceded him in death on April 28, 1942. This marriage was blessed with five children: Harley A.; Lillian, who died March 29, 1923; Til, Mrs. Elmer Egli; Viola, Mrs. Vernon J. Hooley, all of Manson; and Rose, Mrs. Lou L. Egli, Gilmore city, Ia. One brother, Chris of Storm Lake, Ia., and one sister, Fannie Ulrich of Ft. Dodge, Ia., survive. Deceased are three sister s, Lena, Mrs. Will Schertz; Lizzie, Mrs. Pete Bachman; Katie, Mrs. Robert Moerty [Moery?]; and two brothers, Sam and John, thirteen grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also survive.

On Nov. 5, 1949, he was married to Priscilla Wolff. She preceded him in death Spt. 22, 1959.

Peter united with the Mennonite Church and was a member of the Manson congregation at the time of his death. He was unashamed to talk of his faith and did so with numerous friends and relatives.

The memorial service was held in his Manson Mennonite Church. Officiating were Nick Stoltzfus and James Detweiler. Interment was in Rose hill Cemetery, Manson.

PETER C. ULRICH

Peter C. Ulrich, oldest son of John and Catherine (Rediger) Ulrich, was born in Woodford County, Illinois on Dec. 12, 1870. He died of complications in his home at Manson, Ia. on Aug. 23, 1965, at the age of 94 years, eight months and 11 days.
