Charter Member Dies at Age 81

Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services were held at the Zion Mennonite Church near Bridgewater on Sept. 17 for Jacob S. Tschetter, 81, a charter member of that congregation. Rev. Paul Dahlenburg officiated, assisted by Rev. E. A. Pollman.

Mr. Tschetter suffered a stroke on Sunday, Sept. 14, while preparing to attend morning church services. He died that afternoon.

Born at Menno, S. D., he had lived in the Bridgewater community since 1905. He was active in church work, and had taught a Sunday school class for about 35 years.
