Rubena (Duerksen) Trupp, 79, of Newton, died May 30 at Friendly Acres Retirement Home, Newton. Funeral services were held June 3 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, rural Goessel. Milton Harder and Oliver Parish officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. She was a nurse, a native of Hillsboro and a longtime Newton resident. Survivors include one brother, Elmer Duerksen of Hillsboro; and one sister, Margaret Klassen of Dodge City. Her husband, Cernard, died in 1963.
