Goshen, Ind. &#8212; A motorcycle accident in Goshen and a swimming tragedy in a farm pond near here last week claimed the lives of two Goshen young men.

Floyd Troyer, 24, former Pax worker in Peru and Bolivia and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Troyer of Route 4, Goshen, was fatally injured Thursday afternoon, June 4, when his motorcycle skidded into the path of a truck here. He died early the following morning at a South Bend hospital.

Mr. Troyer, employted by a local garage, was to be married on June 12 to Leanne Yoder and they planned to enter church service in South America this fall. He was a graduate of Bethany Christian High School and a member of the East Goshen Mennonite Church, where the funeral was conducted on Saturday.

On Sunday afternoon, May 31, 15-year-old Harvey Ramer of Route 5, Goshen, drowned in a large farm pond where he and 11 companions had gone swimming. When it was noticed that he was going down in deep water, frantic efforts were made to sve him, but to no avail.

Funeral services were held June 3 at the Yellow Creek Old Order Mennonite Church. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ramer, one brother and two sisters.

Traffic Accidents, Drowning Claim Four Li ves in Indiana and Ohio

Goshen, Ind. — A motorcycle accident in Goshen and a swimming tragedy in a farm pond near here last week claimed the lives of two Goshen young men.

Floyd Troyer, 24, former Pax worker in Peru and Bolivia and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Troyer of Route 4, Goshen, was fatally injured Thursday afternoon, June 4, when his motorcycle skidded into the path of a truck here. He died early the following morning at a South Bend hospital.
