PIONEER BUSINESS MAN OF STEINBACH, MAN. CALLED BY DEATH
Steinbach, Man. — Klaas R. Toews, 75; who pioneered in a number of business enterprises here, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 29, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Kleingemeinde church, of which he was a faithful and devoted member.
Mr. Toews built the first hotel in Steinbach, pioneered in a horse-drawn taxi to Giroux and later introduced Model T taxi service.
