Manitoba Youth Dies in Br. Columbia Crash

Steinbach, Manitoba. — Funeral services were held in the Chortitzer Church here Jan. 23 for Henry T. Toews, 19, who was instantly killed Jan. 29 when the auto he was driving struck a bridge near Kamloops, British Columbia.

The young man's fiancee, Sally Wiebe of Morris, Man., was critically injured in the crash. The young couple had gone to British Columbia to visit relatives of Miss Wiebe.

Exactly one month earlier young Toews' father, Peter K. Toews of SteInbach, died of a heart attack.
