Winnipeg, Man. — Rev. Aron A. Toews, 85, retired Mennonite Brethren minister and writer of the two-volume “Mennonitsche Martyrer,” died Nov. 5 at Clearbrook, B. C., it was learned here.

The two books give an account of the lives of Mennonite leaders who perished during the Russian Revolution. Rev. Toews was leader of the Namaka, Alberta M. B. Church from 1927 to 1947. He was the father of Dr. J. A. Toews of Vancouver and Missionary Mary toews of the Congo. The funeral was conducted Nov. 10 at the Clearbrook M. B. Church.
