The youth was riding a motor scooter which ran into the side of a car driven by Ben Krahn, also of rural Whitewater. He was rushed to Bethel Hospital in Newton, where he died a short time later.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Emmaus Mennonite Church, with Rev. L. R. Amstutz in charge.

Kansas Youth Dies After Motor Scooter Collides With Auto

Whitewater, Kan. — An accident at a county road intersection near here Monday noon claimed the life of Paul L. Toevs, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman L. Toevs of rural Whitewater.

The youth was riding a motor scooter which ran into the side of a car driven by Ben Krahn, also of rural Whitewater. He was rushed to Bethel Hospital in Newton, where he died a short time later.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Emmaus Mennonite Church, with Rev. L. R. Amstutz in charge.

Surviving in addition to the parents are a brother and sister of the home, and his grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Toevs of Newton.
