● Funeral services for Edward E. Toevs were held Tuesday at the Halstead Mennonite Church. He died Oct. 20 at the age of 72. Toevs, a retired owner of the Rub-R-Slat Drapery Company, was married in 1928 to the former Jennie L. Hensley who died in 1964. Survivors include two sons, Loren of East Peoria, Ill. and Harold of Milton, Pa.; and one sister, Elma Stohl; of Longview, Wash.
