Retired Minister Dies at Age 89

Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services for Rev. Jacob A. Tieszen, 89, retired minister of Sioux Falls, were held Monday forenoon, Feb. 25, at the Bethesda Mennonite Church near Marion.

Rev. Tieszen died at the Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, on Feb. 22, having suffered a stroke on Jan. 31.

He lived at rural Dolton for a number of years and was pastor of the Bethel Mennonite church near Marion for about 32 years. After moving to Sioux Falls in 1949, he served the North End community church.
