RAYMOND R. THUTT

Raymond R. Thutt, 67, of 2213 Woodside Ave., Springfield, Ohio, a retired insurance salesman, died Sept. 1, 1965. He was visiting a friend at Browns Veterans' Hospital in Dayton when he was stricken and was dead on arrival at Miami Valley Hospital.

Mr. Thutt received a Bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University and a Master's degree from Ohio State University. He taught in the Springfield and Vandalia, Ohio public schools and was a salesman for Western and Southern Life Insurance for 20 years until his retirement in 1963.

Born July 8, 1898 in Bluffton, Ohio, he was the son of Amos and Susan Augsburger Thutt. He was a member of the Bluffton Mennonite Church and had been a resident of Springfield for 40 years. His wife, Josephine, died in 1945.

He leaves two sisters, Mrs. William Garmatter and Mrs. H. W. Althaus, both of Bluffton.

His body was taken to the Jackson,Lytle and Coffman Funeral Home where services were conducted at 3:15 p.m. Saturday. Dr. John W. Rilling, president of Hamma School of Theology at Wittenberg University, officiated. Burial was made in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield. O.
