Dolton, S. D. – Jacob L. Thomas, oldest remaining pioneer of the Silver Lake community here, died at the Tieszen Clinic in Marion on Feb. 18. He was taken to the clinic from the home for the aged at Freeman, where he had resided for about three weeks.

SOUTH DAKOTA PIONEER DIES

Dolton, S. D. – Jacob L. Thomas, oldest remaining pioneer of the Silver Lake community here, died at the Tieszen Clinic in Marion on Feb. 18. He was taken to the clinic from the home for the aged at Freeman, where he had resided for about three weeks.

Funeral services were held Feb. 21 at the Silver Lake Mennonite Brethren Church.
