Troy Dion Thomas, 21, of Benton, formerly of Whitewater, died June 21 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita from injuries suffered in a three-wheeler accident north of Benton on June 15. Funeral services were held June 25 at First Bible Baptist Church in Wichita, with Lee Drennan officiating. Burial was at Emmaus Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Whitewater. A native of Jacksonville, Ark., he moved with his family to Honolulu at age 4. After six years the family moved to Wichita. He was active in his church youth group and participated in several youth mission trips. He graduated from Berean Academy, Elbing, and attended Wichita State and Kansas State universities. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Entz, whom he married May 25; his parents, Keith and Betty Thomas of Benton; one sister, Tammi Hallmark of Plano, Texas; his grandparents, Raymond and Ona Mae Marmon and Everett and Ruby Thomas, all of Scott City; two sisters-in-law, Annette Entz of Whitewater and Sharon Block of Omaha, Neb.; and four brothers-in-law, Stanley Entz of Whitewater, Byron Entz of Greeley, Colo., and Gerald and Lloyd Entz, both of Omaha, Neb.
