Newton and vicinity

Services were held Oct. 31 in the West Zion Mennonite Church of Moundridge for Martin M. Thomas of Galva, who died Oct. 28 at the age of 54. Harold Thieszen officiated. Thomas was married to the former Edna Foth in 1945, and they lived in Newton until moving to Galva in 1956. He was service manager for Aero Equipment Co. of Moundridge. He is survived by his widow; a son, Roger of Galva; two daughters, Mrs. Mark Stucky of Newton and Mrs. Joe Gilmore of Wichita; his mother, Mrs. Lillian Thomas of Moundridge; a sister, Mrs. Lois Kimball of Hesston; and four grandchildren.
