WIDELY KNOWN TEACHER AND MINISTER CALLED AWAY IN DEATH
Abbotsford, B. C. — Funeral services were held in the Mennonite Collegiate Institute here on March 1 for Rev. Franz C. Thieszen, widely known teacher and minister in the Mennonite Brethren conference.
Rev. Thieszen died suddenly of heart attack on Feb. 24, at the age of 68.
He received a thorough pedagogical and theological training in Russia, from where he and his family emigrated to Canada in 1925. Since then he held responsible positions in various Mennonite schools and in the M. B. conference.
