TWO AGED RESIDENTS CALLED AWAY

Henderson, Nebr. — Two aged residents of this community were called away in death recently. Mrs. Helen Klippenstein, 83, died July 13 and Mrs. Aganetha Theiszen [sic Thieszen], 75, died July 19.

Funeral services for Mrs. Klippenstein were held July 16 at the E.M.B. Church and for Mrs. Theiszen [sic Thieszen] at the Bethesda Church on July 21. Rev. Paul Isaak and Rev. A. W. Friesen officiated at the latter funeral.

Both of the deceased were grandmothers and have many relatives surviving.

MRS. AGANETHA THIESZEN

Mrs. Aganetha Thieszen, daughter of Daniel Peters and Maria Epp Peters, was born March 20, 1887, in York County, Nebraska, where she was a life-long resident. The last several months her health began to fail and she was admitted to the Henderson Community Hospital eight days before her death on July 19, 1962.

She was baptized upon her confession of faith by Elder Peter J. Friesen and admitted into membership of the Bethesda Mennonite Church where she remained a faithful member until her passing. She was also a member of the Bethesda Mission Circle and the Hospital Auxiliary.

On Sept. 27, 1906 she was united in marriage to Abraham A. Thieszen. To this union four children were born. During her final days she repeated the 23rd Psalm and asked the family to pray that she could go home to be with her Lord, as she felt her life's work had ben completed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mrs. Jacob M. Epp, Mrs. Aaron Thieszen, Mrs. G. C. Kroeker, and Mrs. John G. Friesen; and one grandchild.

Surviving are her husband, Abraham A. Thieszen; four children, Abraham P. Thieszen of Lushton, Neb., Daniel P. Thieszen of Henderson, Eva, Mrs. Albert Friesen of Hesston, Kan., and Marie of Kinta, Okla.; two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Mierau and Mrs. C. H. Koop.
