MRS. SARAH THIESSEN

(Mrs.) Sarah Thiessen of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away on March 11. She was born on February 18, 1903 to Johann and Sarah Voth in Silberfeld, Man. In 1906 her family moved to Herbert, Sask. She accepted Christ in her early teen years, and 1919 was baptized and joined the Greenfarm Mennonite Brethren Church. On November I, 1923 she married Jacob H. Thiessen. They farmed for 29 years, them moved into Herbert in 1952, to Swift Current, Sask. in 1964, and to Clearbrook B.C. in 1976. She lost sight in one eye in 1940. suffered from pain in her cheek for nine years. and was found to have cancer during surgery in November 1979. She is survived by husband Jacob; three daughters and spouses: Elvira and Rueben Klassen of Aldergrove, B.C., Wilma and Walter Thiessen of Saskatoon and Doris and Les Klassen of Clearbrook; three sons and wives: Elmer and Irene, Unity, Sask., Harold and Elsie of Swift Current, and LeRoy and Gladys of Regina; 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
