Funeral services for Marie (Mrs. Jacob) Thiessen of rural Whitewater were held June 28 at the Emmaus Mennonite Church of Whitewater with Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. She died June 25 at the Axtell Christian Hospital in Newton. She was married in 1909 to Jacob Thiessen, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Henry of rural Newton and Wilfred and Edgar of Whitewater; a daughter, Martha Thiessen of rural Whitewater; two brothers, H. M. and Jacob Wiebe of rural Whitewater; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marie (Mrs. Jacob) Thiessen of rural Whitewater were held June 28 at the Emmaus Mennonite Church of Whitewater with Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. She died June 25 at the Axtell Christian Hospital in Newton. She was married in 1909 to Jacob Thiessen, who preceded her in death.
