ROCKET FROM FIREWORKS DISPLAY IS DEATH TRAP FOR LITTLE BOY

Altona, Manitoba. — A discarded rocket which failed to go off during the fireworks display at the Altona fair proved to be a death trap several days later for 11-year-old Cecil Thiessen, son of Mrs. Margaret Thiessen.

The youth opened the rocket and set it on fire, the burning powder setting his clothes aflame. Several companions put out the flames but Cecil died the following morning.
