MEMBER OF ZOAR K. M. B. CHURCH, INMAN, DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Hutchinson, Kan. — Mrs. G. W. Thiessen, long-time resident of the Inman community, died Sept. 14 at Dinuba, Calif. where she had made her home for the past number of years.

The body was returned here and funeral services were held at the Zoar K. M. B. church near Inman, of which she was a member.

Surviving are eight daughters, three sons and 18 grandchildren.

MARGARET ENS THIESSEN

Our beloved mother, Margaret Ens Thiessen, was born May 22, 1889, in Jansen Neb. She moved to Inman, Kansas in 1900 where she received her education and grew to womanhood. In 1905 her mother preceded her into the Great Beyond. She deeply mourned this loss.

In her early youth mother accepted Christ as her Saviour and upon confession of her faith was baptized by Elder John Esau and confirmed membership in the Zoar Church, Inman, Kansas. On Apr. 23, 1908, she was united in holy matrimony with George W. Thiessen and they established their home in Hooker, Okla. They moved back to Inman in 1910. Our beloved father preceded mother in death on May 17, 1933.

In 1935 mother and her children moved to Dinuba, Calif. The family settled in the vicinity of the Zion church, where she was a faithful member the rest of her life.

She enjoyed good health until December 1956, when her strength began to fail. Medical aid was sought, including surgery on May 31,1957. On August 12 she was taken to the City of Hope, Los Angeles, Calif., for further examination. She departed this life Sept. 14 at 11:20 at the age of 68 years, three months and 24 days.

Mother's life was not an easy one. She had a full share of sorrow and sacrifice as well as joy and happiness. Her radiant smile and great love for us reflected the Christian virtues that gave her strength for victories in her life.

Mother leaves to mourn her departure her children: Marie, (Mrs. Clarence Klassen), Kay Thiessen, Leonard Thiessen, Martha, (Mrs. Wesley Hofer), George W. Thiessen, all of Dinuba, Pete Thiessen of Castro Valley, Calif., Hilda (Mrs. Victor Wiens) of Inglewood, Calif., Verna (Mrs. James Ford) of Kingsburg, Calif., Helen (Mrs. P. H. Goertzen) of Hutchinson, Kansas, Edna (Mrs. John Siemens) of Wichita, Kans., and LaVada (Mrs. W. T. Stirewalt) of Donelson, Tenn.; Seven sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren, four sisters and four brothers. Her parents, one sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
