Funeral services were held in the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church on March 28, for (Mrs.) Katherine Thiessen of Clearbrook, who passed away on March 22 in the Vancouver General Hospital. She was in her 85th year. Officiating at the service was Rev. H. G. Thielman, assisted by Rev. P. S. Thiessen.

Mrs. Thiessen was born in Russia and came to Canada 43 years ago. She lived in British Columbia for the past 22 years. Surviving are three sons: John and Jake of Clearbrook, B.C., Peter of Kelowna, B.C.; two daughters: Mrs. Jake (Tina) Krause, Foam Lake, Sask., Susan, Clearbrook: 27 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; one sister in Russia and one step-sister, (Mrs.) Sarah Krahn, Abbotsford.
