Frank Thiessen

Frank Thiessen was born in 1909 and when he was three years old his mother died and then was cared for by his father. When he was 13 years old his father died and then was cared for by his sisters. Frank attended High School to make better arrangements for his later life, but his health failing him this last year had to stop school.

He underwent an operation in May and also improved from it, but other sickness overtook him and became worse. He was again taken to the hospital and cared for but seemingly didn't help much. Then he was taken home and given the best of care until August 19 at 4:00 o'clock when he passed away at the age of 17 years, 3 months and 21 days. He leaves to mourn his early departure two sisters, Mrs. D. J. Neufeld and Mrs. B. D. Dirks, four brothers, H. J. Thiessen, J. W. Thiessen, G. W. Thiessen and D. W. Thiessen and a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the North Church last Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery. — Buhler Review.
