KATHARINA TEICHGRAB

(Mrs.) Katharina Teichgrab of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away on April 4. She was born on March 3,1887 to Jacob and Margaret Wiebe in Steinbach, southern Russia. Her family moved to Gnadenfeld (No. 12), where at age 18 she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour, was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren church. On May 14,1909 she married Peter H. Teichgrab. In 1926 the family emigrated to Canada, settling first in Laird and then in Mullingar, Sask. In 1937 they moved to Yarrow, B.C. and operated a berry farm. They retired to Clearbrook in 1956. Her husband passed away 12 years ago. She is survived by two daughters and four sons with their families, including 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held on April 8 in the Clearbrook MB Church, with pastor John Baerg officiating.
