A native of Johnson County, he was married her to Lydia Swartzendurber in 1920 and they farmed until moving to Wellman in 1936. Surviving in the immediate family ar his widow, three sons, one daughter, and nine grandchildren.

He was a member of the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, where the funeral services were conducted July 16.

Retired Auctioneer Dies at Wellman, Ia.

Wellman, Iowa. — Peter M. Swartzendruber, well-known retired auctioneer and businessman here, died unexpectedly July 14 while working in the garden at his home in Wellman. His death occurred only a few days before his 70th birthday.

A native of Johnson County, he was married her to Lydia Swartzendurber in 1920 and they farmed until moving to Wellman in 1936. Surviving in the immediate family ar his widow, three sons, one daughter, and nine grandchildren.

He was a member of the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, where the funeral services were conducted July 16.
