text of obituary:

MRS. ANNA SUTER, daughter of John F. and Kathryn (Neuenschwander) Suter, was born on March 23, 1855, and died December 7, 1939, aged 84 years, 8 months, and 14 days. She was the youngest of twelve children and the last surviving member of her family. In 1873 she was baptized by Rev. John Moser on confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and received into the Swiss Mennonite Church. She lived in harmony with this faith until her departure and so met death with a quiet resignation saying, "As the Lord wills."

She was married to Ulrich Bucher on November 10th, 1873. To this union were born two sons, Noah Bucher and Philip. On February 6th, 1880, her husband died after less than 7 years of married life. On July 20th, 1884, she was married a second time, this time to John A. Suter. To this union were born, one son and two daughters. This husband died on August 18, 1935, thus preceding her in death by more than four years. She was always an interested and active member of the church. At one time she was the appointed "Armenpflegerin" of the church and was always an active member of the Missionary Society of the church.

During the past year she frequently felt the pain of rheumatism. Her death was the indirect result of a fall in which she injured her hip just two months preceding her death. Since that time she was confined to her bed until the Lord released her from her suffering to usher her into her eternal home.

She leaves to mourn her departure the following sons and daughters; Noah Bucher, Lima, Ohio, Hiram Suter, Lima, Ohio, Mrs. Rosa Tillman Geiger, Pandora, Ohio, and Mrs. (Edna) David Schumacher, Pandora, Ohio. Besides these there are 12 grandchildren, 6 great grand children, a number of nieces and nephews and many friends who mourn her passing. One son, Mr. Philip Bucher preceded her in death about 7 years ago. Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 10th, who used her favorite psalm, Psalm 121, as the basis of message of comfort and inspiration. A ladies' quartette sang two German songs, “Gehe nicht vorbei O Heiland," “Licht nach dem Dunkel,” and one English number “Safe in the Arms of Jesus." A Boy's High School quartette sang “The Old Rugged Cross.” Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery of the St. John Church.
