Mother of Four Dies When Car Overturns

Sugarcreek, Ohio. — A one-car accident near Millersburg, Ohio the evening of Sept. 20 brought instant death to Mrs. Mary M. Sundheimer, 32, wife of Clyde Sundheimer and the mother of four children.

The Sundheimer family had only recently moved to Millersburg from Logan, Ohio where they were members of St. John Mennonite Chapel. On Oct. 3 Mr. Sundheimer was to be installed as pastor of the Gray Ridge Mennonite Church.

Mrs. Sundheimer was a passenger in a car driven by Mrs. Jay Wengerd of rural Millersburg when a rear tire blew out, causing the car to turn over. Miriam Weaver, 13, sustained a broken collar bone, but Mrs. Wengerd and Jennifer Sundheimer, 13, were unhurt.

Mrs. Sundheimer was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Groff of rural Millersburg. Her funeral was held Sept. 23 at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church, with Paul Hummel and Lester Roth officiating.
