Edith L. Gross, fourth child of Abram G. and Sarah Ann (Lapp) Gross, was born at Fountainville, Pa. on June 30, 1900. On June 14, 1924 she was married to James Stutzman of Mantua, Ohio, where she lived for five years.

In 1929 they moved to a farm in the Schwenksville, Pa. area where she died in her sleep of a heart ailment on Dec. 26, 1965 at the age of 65 years, five months, and 26 days. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1963.

She is survived by nine children: Mary Ellen, Calico Rick [''sic'' Rock], Ark.; James G., Kutztown, Pa.; Sara Jean, Schwenksville, Pa.; Kenneth L., Kutztown, Pa.; Lorraine, Mrs. Ben W. Myers, Emporia, Kan.; A. Marlowe, Kutztown, Pa.; J. Merle, Fleetwood, Pa.; Donald G., Schwenksville, Pa.; and E. Dale, Schwenksville, Pa.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, three sisters and four brothers, Nora, Mrs. John Gehman, Quakertown, Pa.; Priscilla and Elizabeth Gross, Doylestown, Pa.; Phares L., Souderton, Pa.; Titus L. and Joseph L., Doylestown, Pa.; and Hiram L., Lansdale, Pa. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one daughter, Mildred Louise, one grandson, one sister and two brothers.

She was a member of the Salford Mennonite Church where she was active in church and Sunday school work. Funeral services were held on Dec. 30, 1965 at the church of Henry Ruth and Willard Shisler, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

EDITH L. STUTZMAN
