Three Die in Northern Indiana Accidents

Goshen, Ind. — Two Lagrange County fathers and a four-year-old boy of rural Goshen died in separate traffic accidents Monday morning, March 6.

A head-on crash near Lagrange involving three autos claimed the lives of Maynard E. Bontrager, 33, and Dale L. Stutzman, 22, both of rural Lagrange, and injured five other persons.

The two men were on the way to work at a trailer factory when their Volkswagen was hit head-on by another motorist who was passing a third vehicle.

Services for Mr. Bontrager were held March 8 at the Shore Mennonite Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Martin, three children, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orvan Bontrager of rural Lagrange. Services for Mr. Stutzman were held at a Lagrange funeral home. He leaves his wife and two little children.

On the same day funeral services were held at the Griner Mennonite Church near Middlebury for Brian Lee Troyer, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs Lloyd Jay Troyer of rural Goshen. The little boy was killed in a tractor accident at an intersection of county roads.
