IMS Student Killed In Highway Crash
Kalona, Iowa. — A two-car collision at an intersection near here the morning of Dec. 19 claimed the life of Marcia Stutzman, 17, a senior at Iowa Mennonite School.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, with Dean Swartzendruber and Robert K. Yoder officiating.
Four IMS students were on the way to school when the car driven by John E. Stutzman, 18, brother of Marcia, was involved in a collision at a Highway intersection. John Stutzman, Anna Marie Schrock, 15, and 19-year-old Joanna Hershberger of Kalona, driver of the other car, were all hospitalized at Iowa City. Dale Schrock, 17, also a passenger in the Stutzman auto, was unhurt.
Surviving Miss Stutzman are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Stutzman, three sisters and three brothers, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Stutzman of rural Kalona and Henry J. Kauffman of Hartville, O.
